Guitar show mass build

We are currently making several Cigar Box Guitars to take to the local guitar swap meet.

Here is the stash of boxes.

Our next group of guitars

Ok we have cut the wood for the necks, 9 in total. Each is about 36 inches long by 1-5/8 inches wide.

Next we made a jig to scarf the ends of the boards to form a headstock angle..

locating the cut.

Now to glue up the necks.

Latest build info for September and October 2010

Fans of the cigar box guitar! 

We will be producing a run of CBG’s to sell at the upcoming
guitar swap meet in Annandale, Virginia or on Ebay.

 These will be straight forward guitars with piezo =
pick ups,
simple boxes and maple headstocks.  We will be using the boxes that we have on the shelf to help make way for some more!  If you want one, let us know and we will make one for you!

Ok, the beast is finished! Maple neck, overlay fingerboard with exotic wood…I can’t find the lable.

Currently we are constructing a Cigar Box Uke. The box is ready for assembly, reinforcement was done with rosewood. Small fretwire was ordered as well as bridges and nuts….
Glue up is complete, now to shape the neck. Check back often to see how we are doing.
